Daniel's Report #3 Today's Rainbow Trout

This afternoon Aaron and I went to the river to go swimming and fishing and that is how it all began. When we got there, I waited to go fishing because I lent Aaron my fishing pole to go first. He got a bite but no more. Then I came up. I walked into the current. It was cold and the current was strong but I did it. In 5 minutes I got a bite, then in about 5 more minutes, I got a good bite, so slowly I reeled it in and that's when I realized I had a trout. I tried to reel it in but the reel was jammed so I called Aaron who was carving a spear. When he came, I had backed up so Aaron could reach the line. He pulled the trout out and on a rock, and I followed. It was 13 inches long! It was the first fish I ever caught without an adult with me. When I came back, Aaron went home and I went to the cabin. I showed the trout to Papa-Joe. He went crazy! He took 5 pictures, 2 of them you can see on the web page.
